The NYPD is investigating a third set of sexual assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein — this time from actress Paz de la Huerta, who accused the fallen movie mogul of raping her in 2010, authorities said Thursday.
De la Huerta came forward 10 days ago, telling NYPD investigators Weinstein raped her in lower Manhattan on two occasions that year, police sources said.
The sources said investigators also have corroborating evidence of the assaults but did not specify what it is.
However, de la Huerta told Vanity Fair that she shared the information about the assaults with her therapist. That therapist recently gave the actress a letter providing her memories of those sessions, she said.

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. has assigned a senior sex crimes prosecutor to the case, spokeswoman Joan Vollero said. “The office has been working with our partners in the NYPD since the new allegations came to light,” Vollero said.
De la Huerta, 33, told CBS News and Vanity Fair that the first attack took place after Weinstein offered to give her a ride to her Tribeca home after a party at the Standard, High Line hotel in Manhattan in October 2010.
The “Boardwalk Empire” star said the producer insisted they have drinks and ended up inside her apartment.
The “Enter the Void” actress said that’s when Weinstein took off her dress and forced himself on her. “He pushed me on the bed. He unzipped his pants and it happened all very suddenly,” de la Huerta told CBS News.
Weinstein allegedly showed up in the lobby of de la Huerta’s apartment building on Dec. 23, 2010, again made his way into her apartment and raped her a second time, she told CBS.
De la Huerta is one of more than 50 women to accuse Weinstein of sexual harassment, assault or rape.
