Charly Boy files N500m lawsuit against Police Over Resume Or Resign Harassment

Entertainer and covener of the Resume or Resign protests,Charles Oputa, popularly called Charlyboy, has dragged the Nigeria Police to court.


In the lawsuit against the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, and the commissioner of police for FCT, Charlyboy is seeking N500 million in damages over the infringement of his fundamental rights .


The suit before the FCT High Court in Maitama, Abuja accused the police of harassing him and members of the OurMumuDonDo campaign, and Concerned Nigerians group during the #ResumeOrResign protests.
