Angry mob attacks Hindu girl and slaps her 'for hugging her Muslim boyfriend on the bus'

An angry mob has allegedly attacked a Hindu girl - even slapping her across the face - for riding on the bus with her Muslim boyfriend.


The interfaith couple were on the bus together in India when they were confronted by angry strangers.


The shocking video shows how they were surrounded after being seen hugging on public transport .


Mobile phone footage shows other passengers yelling at the helpless young couple.Daily Record reports

Suddenly one of the men swings at them, his hand connecting with the boy's face and bouncing his head off the window of the bus.



Another man then slaps the girl around the face. She responds by screaming at her attackers in anger and fear.

She is then pulled by the hair and dragged out of the bus, in the unnamed Indian city.The video was later uploaded online in an attempt to further shame the young couple, whose relationship is considered a taboo in Indian society.

A man called Sunny Tamak originally shared the video footage on his Facebook profile.



His outraged Facebook friends responded with vitriolic messages, one even suggesting they should be burnt alive.
