How We Advised President Buhari Not to Rush Back Home to Nigeria - Ortom Opens Up

                                
Samuel Ortom, the Benue State Governor, said on Tuesday that the seven governors who visited President Muhammad Buhari in London last week advised him not to rush back to the country.

According to The Nation, Ortom told journalists the President is recuperating fast and would soon return to Nigeria.

He also condemned some Nigerians for politicizing the President's ailment, saying Buhari represents Nigeria and whatever happens to him should be of concern to everybody in the country.

He said: "When we met the President, he was in high spirit and is eager to return to Nigeria. God has shamed those who wanted him (Buhari) dead. He chatted with us and we told him to take his time and recuperate well until his doctors find him fit to resume work.
