Rapper and comedian, Folarin Falana, popularly called Falz has disclosed how he came about his comic accent for which a lot of his fans know him and love him. According to him, everything started when he and his siblings were trying to create a better version of the already existing comic accents. He recreated one and it stuck to his tongue.
Falz’s music has enjoyed considerable successes recently. He shot into limelight after his song titled “Marry Me” (featuring vocals from Poe and Yemi Alade won him a nomination in the “Best Collaboration of The Year” category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
As a result of his success, he has been linked with several women in the industry but he has denied being in an affair with any of them at every point asked.
He was formerly said to be having a relationship with Fuke Akindele, but she came out to clear the air on the nature of their relationship saying she listened to his album, liked his style of music and then met with him at an event where they exchanged contacts.
They soon became comfortable together after which she invited him to her place and then everything took shape from there.
The rapper has however debunked the claims of him being in a relationship with another female singer, Simi, whom he featured in her song ‘’Jamb Question’’.
On combining his music with comedy ad acting, he said, “Its difficult but at the end of the day its not so difficult for me because my brand already has that element of comedy in the music. So it is like both are already married, so its about separating them at different point in time, doing things that are just comedy and doing things that are just music.”
Indeed, Falz has won the most coveted music and acting awards in Nigeria in a very short space of time and this has his career a lot. He is now the host of the Big Friday Show on MTV Base which was formerly hosted by ace comedian, Basket Mouth.
