He was, however, released on a bail of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The accused, a driver, who resides at 3, Oyediran Close, Ayobo, a suburb of Lagos, is being tried for rape and sexual assault.

The Directorate of State Security (DSS) has urged media practitioners, especially bloggers to see themselves as stakeholders in the Nigeria project.

This was made on Wednesday by the Lagos State Director of the Agency when a delegation of Guild of Professional Bloggers of Nigeria, led by its President Chris Kehinde Nwandu (CKN) paid a courtesy visit to the State Headquarters of the Security Agency in Lagos.
              
 Represented by her Deputy, Mr Ahmed, the DSS asked the media to act as partners with Security Agencies in the country to rid Nigeria of criminals and undesirable elements as it is the norm in advanced countries.

Policemen flee as robbers shoot bank customer dead in front of Imo Government House

Tragedy struck yesterday in-front of Imo State Government House, as robbers who trailed their unsuspecting victim and his wife, in a Camry Salon Car, after they withdrew money from one of the banks along the popular Cathedral Road in Owerri metropolis, shot him dead after snatching the money from him.

It was gathered that the robbers who caught up with their victim before the Okigwe roundabout, directly opposite Government House, shot sporadically into the air before ordering their victim to hand over the money. When he resisted, they shot him three times, snatched the money and took off through Okigwe Road.

5 days ago she wrote 'God will fight for me n I will hold my peace'. Her audience is still in shock as She just completed her Youth Service.



Her sister, Nwaokolo Franca Ngozi made a comment on a post she made after her sister’s death stating that anyone that is involved in her death will never know peace. According to her, her family is still investigating the cause of her death.

Some suspected fraudsters, who specialised in cloning phone numbers of ministers, politicians and aides to President Muhammadu Buhari, have been apprehended by the police.

Oshamoto, 49; and 25-year-old Samuel Idah.


Fourteen phones with SIM cards allegedly registered with names of top government officials were reportedly recovered from the suspects.

Omoni Oboli wins court case, Okafor's Law set to hit cinemas tomorrow

Sometime in September 2016, Omoni Oboli was accused of copyright infringement for the Okafor's Law title she gave her movie, by a Canada based writer, Jude Idada. The Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli was also accused of stealing his story and idea for her new movie "Okafor's Law."

The filmmaker in tears cancelled 'Okafor's Law' movie premiere after being served a court injunction for stealing story.  However, there is now good news for Omoni Oboli’s camp and fans because the injunction was lifted today, 30, March 2017 by Justice N. Buba of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos. The court lifted the injunction while stating that the movie should not have been prevented from showing in the first place since the copyright claim suit is yet to be determined by a competent court of law.

Kemi Olunloyo, Walson has been granted bail

Controversial blogger and CEO HNNAfrica, Kemi Olunloyo and Samuel Walson, a journalist from Rivers state have been granted bail by a Magistrates’ court in Port Harcourt.

Chief Magistrate, Alatuwo Elkanah Fubara, in his ruling granted the two accused media practitioners bail in the sum of two hundred thousand Naira with credible sureties who reside in Port Harcourt, Daily Post reports.



Recall, Kemi was arrested alongside Walson for allegedly publishing materials believed to have defamed the GO of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

Another Imo State University Student has been reportedly shot dead this morning by suspected cultists.

As posted by one of the school websites, Gistgate (Formerly, MyImsu.com) The student is said to have been shot three times close to a betting Center located close to DaVita Hostel, Aladinma Students Alliance area at IMSU back gate.

GistGate also learnt that the remains of the dead has been deposited in the mortuary.
